The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) is a multi-year initiative that addresses barriers to treatment for substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD). It works toward the HHS goal of ending the opioid epidemic.
RCORP is supported through the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Office of Rural Health Policy.
In September 2020, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) awarded AFMC the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Implementation (RCORP-I) grant. RCORP-I is a three-year initiative aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in high-risk rural communities. AFMC was awarded this grant again in 2022.
